About Me

I am a Family Physician that  is completing my 21st year. I have been fortunate enough to pick and choose one location. I have therefore been in the same comunity for just about one generation ( depending on how you count those). Some of the babies that I examined on their first day of life are now having babies. Lots of the toddlers I first goofed off with are having families.

I still see lots of patients, but only a few new ones. I run the office which has become a much bigger headache than I ever remember.

I have two daughters and one wife ( better than the other way around). My oldest, Holly, is now a freshman at St. Olaf. For those non Norwegians out there, that’s in Minnesotta. Since I am in Maryland, she is going a very long ways away. This is probably the hardest part of parenting. I spent nearly two decades watching over her and now she is out in the world on her own. (and doing marvelously, kudos to her mom).

My other daughter, Allie, is in High school and we have been driving for  just over three months. We go out most nights for a drive. She is an impressive new driver, very intuitive, even if she hates to be corrected about anything. She currently only has her permit, so we shall see how it is when she gets her license, she can be distractible with other kids in the car.

My wife runs the office and keeps me from going crazy.  She has put up with me for a very , very long time. The staff thinks she is a saint.
